2016 Super Lawyers Recognizes 30 Attorneys from Hall Estill
October 9, 2016
TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 10, 2016) – Hall Estill, Oklahoma’s leading law firm, is pleased to announce a substantial number of its attorneys were once again selected by their peers for inclusion in Oklahoma Super Lawyer’s annual list of the state’s top attorneys. Of the attorneys selected, five attorneys were named as Rising Stars, a prestigious recognition for up-and-coming attorneys.
“Of all the recognitions our attorneys receive, this is one for which they are very proud,” said Mike Cooke, Hall Estill managing partner. “Being acknowledged by your peers for your expertise and skill is as meaningful of an endorsement as one could imagine.”
Super Lawyers has been recognized by bar associations and courts across the country for the legitimacy and rigor of its selection process. Attorneys are selected using a rigorous, multi-phase rating process including peer nominations and evaluations combined with third party research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement, and the lawyers recognized represent no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state.
“Our attorneys show up every day not looking for awards or recognition, said Cooke. “They are laser-focused on providing our clients with the highest level of counsel.”
Of the 30 attorneys honored, five were recognized for the first time and two attorneys, Thomas A. Creekmore III and Jon A. Epstein were named a Super Lawyer for the tenth year in a row.
In addition, Scott Hall, one of the firm’s up-and-coming attorneys from Hall Estill’s Fayetteville, Ark., office, was named a Rising Star in Mid-South Super Lawyers Magazine for the third straight year. Launched in 1998, Rising Stars is a list that recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state. To qualify for this award, candidates must be 40 years old or younger, or have been practicing for 10 years or less.
