Hall Estill Real Estate Law Practice Grows with the Addition of Attorney Jeff Friedman in Denver
October 23, 2016
Hall Estill, Oklahoma’s leading law firm, with offices across the country, has made a significant move to expand its commercial real estate law capabilities with the hiring of Jeff Friedman in its Denver office.
Friedman joins Hall Estill after a successful 14-year stint at Chicago’s Levenfield Pearlstein, LLC. During that time he assisted clients across a broad spectrum of commercial real estate transactions and distressed property situations.
Highlights from Friedman’s career include the $164 million purchase of a seven-property multi-family apartment portfolio near Tampa; the $344 million sale of an office building in Chicago; and the nearly $44 million sale of a nine-property industrial portfolio near Cleveland.
Hall Estill’s Real Estate Practice now has 15 attorneys firm-wide who devote at least half of their time to assisting clients in this area.
“Jeff’s accomplishments speak for themselves,” said Mike Cooke, Hall Estill’s Managing Partner. “He has built a national reputation in real estate law and is highly sought after for providing counsel on major real estate deals.”
Jeff says his success has been due in large part to his understanding that all situations, no matter how big or small, can feel like “do or die to the client,” especially in today’s real estate climate. This attitude ensures that he treats all client matters with the utmost care and urgency.
Friedman said, “it is a great honor to be a part of Hall Estill’s booming real estate practice and to help clients with the fast-paced challenges and opportunities that arise in commercial real estate deals. I love Chicago and will continue helping my many clients there, but my wife and I have also grown to love Denver very much and could not resist the call to join Hall Estill’s exciting entry into this market.”
Friedman received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law Illinois Institute of Technology and his B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is an Illinois Super Lawyer and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
