Hall Estill to present at Denver Startup Week - Cannabis & Intellectual Property: Strange Genetics

The panel session, “Cannabis and Intellectual Property: Strange Genetics”, will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. MST at CTRL Collective Denver. Alongside, cannabis industry expert Justin Henderson of Peak Dispensaries, participating Hall Estill lawyers include: Jeff Schell, Moderator; Cannabis Attorney John Hickey, Panelist; IP Attorney Randy McCarthy, Panelist; and IP Attorney T.J. Mantooth, Panelist.

The panel will point to specific success and failure stories in the cannabis industry, including misappropriation of cannabis business names, fraudulent licensing issues, emerging issues associated with industrial hemp legalization, marketing of CBD products, and the unique patent, trade name and trademark issues associated with cannabis-related activities.
